Welcome to the A-Z Rabbitry. We are an American Rabbit Breeders Association registered rabbitry. What started with just one rabbit has grown to an entire herd. Our daughter Alexandra has been the inspiration for the A-Z Rabbitry and it has become a family operation. Our goal is to produce fine quality Dutch and New Zealand White rabbits. We are located in southeastern Michigan halfway between Ann Arbor and Toledo, Ohio. Located 1 mile west of US 23 off Exit 13, we’re four miles south of the new Cabela’s in Dundee. The farm has been in Brenda’s family for 60 years and we also raise Suffolk sheep.
We founded our rabbit business on the same principles that have made us successful with our Suffolk flock. Start with the best genetics, provide the utmost care, learn from experienced breeders, and make lots of friends along the way! Each of the breeds we raise are truly beautiful rabbits and unique in their own ways. The Dutch are a friendly, easy going rabbit. Their distinctive markings and beautiful array of colors make them a show favorite. We have focused heavily on type when selecting breeding stock to maintain a round, compact shape in our Dutch. Much of our breeding stock has come from Tom Dietrich one of the true masters of the breed. We also have top genetics from Kevin Hooper and the Moll brothers.
There is nothing more majestic than a New Zealand White. Their muscular build and pristine white coat make them an all-star breed. They are the king of meat producing rabbits and produce top meat pens. We have combined the outstanding genetics of Mangione and Rogers to build our New Zealand breeding program. We attend many rabbit shows and enjoy the challenge of competing and the camaraderie with other breeders. We strive to do well on the show table as well raise rabbits that will produce.
We feel that membership in associations that support the rabbit industry is important and are members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, American Dutch Rabbit Club, American Federation of New Zealand Breeders, Michigan Dutch Rabbit Club, Ohio State New Zealand Rabbit Breeders Association, and Stateline Rabbit Breeders.
