It is generally agreed that Dickerson had a child named Obediah/Obadiah, but he was originally assumed to be born earlier than 1823 (estimated date of birth has been, about 1815). The dates listed for Obediah/Obadiah are correct as verified from the original tombstone, only Obediah/Obadiah's parentage is assumed.
